This project represents some eighteen months
of interior and exterior restoration by
Kempster and Associates. In addition to the
usual decorative drawn and cast plaster
mouldings, two spiral stairways were restored using granite finished plaster, as well as
numerous vaulted ceilings.

The wall and ceiling surfaces incorporate
impressed plaster in voluted and floral motifs. Some of the smaller ceiling medallions were
altered to accommodate diffusers for the
new HVAC system.

Ornamental brownstone was replicated and restored on two major facades.
One faqade of granite finished cement was duplicated.

The view shown in the photo is of CMAC auditorium, formerly the Superior Court.
This is one of five major courtrooms, smaller offices and public areas.
